JC will be on hand to discuss the many aspects that went into the conception, design and crafting of Warren Chair Works' newest addition, the Contemporary Line of handcrafted furniture. Warren Chair Works, over the last 25 years has specialized in the art of making high quality, early American, reproduction furniture. The Contemporary Line stands out as a natural extention of the years of refining the techniques and economy of scale that has made the Warren Chair Works furniture so desirable, accessable and affordable for those who have become disallutioned with most of today's modern furniture.
The common thread in all of Warren Chair Works' furniture is the use of solid woods and 18th century techniques. From the butt-joint and biscuted table tops to the mortese, tendon and pin leg joinery, each piece of furniture is destined to become an antique for future generations to enjoy.
The signature of the Contemporary Line is the sublte theme of opposing and sweeping curves made with unstained, natural grain finished, solid cherry or walnut woods. A pin stripe of tiger maple highlights each edge giving off a rich physical and visual texture which draws the eye and hand alike inspiring an irresitable need to be experienced.
The chairs are the perfect compliment as the combination of solid cherry or walnut, maple and tiger maple woods accent the hand joined spindles, rails and other turnings with the seats offering a prominent display of natural grain. These chairs are very comfortable and will stand up to the modern lifestyle of the most demanding home.
The Contemporary Line will be on display for a limited time, through the month of January. So, come in because to see this furniture is to truly appreciate it's inherent appeal.
